On-the-ground support for parents in China

When your parents need to see a doctor in China,
distance should not leave you guessing.

ParallelCare provides a trusted companion for the visit—from navigating the hospital to keeping you informed at key moments. Afterward, you receive a clear record of what was completed and what the doctor said to do next.

  • Scope agreed in advance
  • Clear quote before payment
  • Not for emergencies
A familiar phone call
“I’m fine. I can go myself.
Don’t go to all that trouble.”

You know what “Don’t worry about me” often means: they do not want to make your life harder. But a hospital visit in China can mean navigating registration, finding the right building, queuing for tests, making payments, and remembering what the doctor said.

Then the call ends with the same vague reassurance: “It’s nothing. Everything is fine.”

ParallelCare cannot shorten the distance. We can make sure distance does not turn into uncertainty.

What you actually receive

Not simply someone by their side.
A visit you can understand from start to finish.

Support begins before your parent arrives and continues after they leave. You know what we will handle, when you will hear from us, and what remains outside our role.

01

Before the visit

Set the visit up properly

  • Confirm the hospital, location, department, and appointment time
  • Understand mobility needs and any practical concerns
  • Send a simple checklist for IDs, reports, and other paperwork
  • Agree on the service, price, and contacts in writing
03

After the visit

Turn a long hospital day into clear next steps

  • Summarize what was completed and what remains open
  • List the follow-ups and tests the doctor requested
  • Share receipts, reports, and notes with your parent’s permission
  • Confirm that both your parent and the family received what they needed

Built for trust

Care is personal.
Trust should still be verifiable.

You should know who is going, what they are responsible for, when you will hear from them, and exactly where the service ends.

Outside our scope Diagnosing conditions · interpreting results · changing medical instructions Guaranteeing appointments or outcomes · making treatment decisions
01

Everything agreed in advance

We confirm the hospital, timing, mobility needs, and requested tasks before sending a written scope and quote. You do not pay until those details are clear.

02

Updates at meaningful moments

We record arrival, the consultation, completed tests, and departure. If something changes, a coordinator steps in so you are not left chasing information from overseas.

03

A clear, factual visit summary

Your summary covers what the doctor said, what was completed, what comes next, and what still needs clarification. We do not add our own medical interpretation.

04

Privacy with explicit consent

We collect only what is needed to arrange the visit. Do not submit medical records through the public form; any sharing of records is handled separately with your parent’s permission.

Common questions

Still unsure? Add your question to the assessment form. Requesting an assessment does not commit you to booking.

What should my parents prepare?+

We send a checklist tailored to the hospital and the visit. It usually includes identification, an insurance or hospital card, appointment details, and any prior reports directly relevant to the appointment.

Can you book a specific specialist for us?+

We can help identify official booking channels and prepare the required information, but we cannot guarantee a particular doctor or a hard-to-get appointment. We never use unauthorized channels or resold appointments.

Will the companion explain test results or medical advice?+

No. The companion can take accurate notes and help your parent navigate the visit, but cannot diagnose a condition, interpret a result, change the doctor’s instructions, or make treatment decisions.

How will I know what is happening from overseas?+

Before the visit, we agree on how and when you want to hear from us. We send key updates during the day and a structured summary afterward. Medical records or reports are shared only with your parent’s permission.

Can you help if my parent has limited mobility or a high risk of falling?+

Please tell us about mobility concerns during the assessment. We will determine whether the visit can be supported safely. ParallelCare is not an emergency, transport, or nursing service, and we decline needs that require clinical care or substantial physical assistance.

Are you affiliated with the hospitals listed here?+

No. The names are examples of hospitals where service may be possible. They do not indicate a partnership, endorsement, or special access. Availability depends on the location, department, date, and staffing.
